Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia gambling dens that sit just across the dividing line from nearby Thailand, in which gambling hall gaming is not allowed. Eight casinos are anchored in a relatively small area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent location, a 3 to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital accrued from the casinos ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a few controls constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mostly Thai; however, funding sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 0900 to 1700, and although visas are allegedly needed to pass, there are ways around this, as is real of most borders.
The first Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just 1 gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored bateau gambling hall, features 150 slot machine games and sixty gaming tables. The Naga gambling den never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The first casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are one hundred and fifty slots and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slots and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred one armed bandits and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slots and sixty six of the familiar gaming tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, also a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a comprehensive resort and hotel complex that contains a number of amenities on top of the gambling hall, which offers 10,000 square feet of 130 slots and 88 tables.
