Cambodia Casinos

There is a captivating story to the Cambodia casinos that lie just over the dividing line from nearby Thailand, in which gambling hall wagering is not allowed. Eight casinos are established in a generally tiny space in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling halls is in a prime destination, a 3 to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The astonishing income gained from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a few limitations constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; still, financial sources are vague. The borders are officially open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and though visas are for all intents and purposes required to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is correct of many border crossings.
The initial Cambodia gambling halls opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only 1 gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary boat gambling hall, features one hundred and fifty slots and 60 gaming tables. The Naga casino never closes with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon opened. A total of one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred slots and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven punto banco (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and sixty six of the familiar table games, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a multinational vacation and hotel compound that contains numerous conveniences accompanying the casino, which has 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slots and eighty eight gaming tables.
